If you’re going to visit the Southwest you want to come in the spring and if you’re in northern Arizona, you want to stop at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum off of Highway 60.
It’s so pretty in all the ways you expect in the Southwest
And then it’s spring so everything’s blooming
Even the cactus
The arboretum is beautifully landscaped with a little lake
Wooden lookouts over the canyons
And shaded walking trails
The nature walk is 1.5 miles long, with a bunch of trail offshoots
I even learned a few things about iPhone photography by taking about 100 bad pictures of this flower before I figured out how to make it focus.
I mean… that seems appropriate :)
I had a really pleasant afternoon at this arboretum. If you’re near Superior AZ, check it out!
